It’s Sunday, and I’m curled up on my couch reading. Oh whats this? A girl from pof, the reputable dating site to find true love, sends me a message,
Gothgirl: “why would your castle be in the forest?”
Hmmm, thats quite the question Gothgirl. In any case, I use my studied wahmen techniques to verbally seduce her and bam, we are going to meet.
She wants to go to a haunted road in yorktown called Crawford road. I’ve never heard of it but evidently its haunted and there have been murders along the road. How romantic I’m thinking…
We meet at a bar called Schooners. She’s quite attractive. I have a hard cider; she gets a pepsi. I ask her,
Me: “Are we really going to the haunted road?”
Gothgirl: “absolutely”
I guess she’s used to bringing all her victims there lol.
She’s driving. She also drives a civic, but hers is newer than mine. Its drizzling and shortly after turning on her wipers, the passenger wiper breaks. Great, maybe its a sign we shouldnt be going to a haunted road.
She decides to go home to see if her dad will fix the wiper blade. She invites me inside her parents house. I look around: picture of her dad and mom on the mantle, tv is playing, something smells yummy. I stand next to the front door awkwardly.
Her dad fixes the wiper blade, we shake hands, and Gothgirl and I leave. She plugs in her phone and starts playing miley cyrus. She has some interesting stories involving male strippers and her ex punching someone in the face with a brick. Evidently, she also loves her new job selling adult toys. #pofthesitefortruelove
Moving on…We finally reach Crawford road. Its dark and eery. She mentions how a cop was found dead along the road. Im not sure I believe her. As we near a ominous arc over the road, she speeds up: she says if you stop under the arc, someone will knock on your car roof.
The road leads back to civilization. She asks what I want to do. I tell her to take me back to my car. We arrive back at the bar, hug eachother and leave. I’m still alive. Definitely, that was one of the more memorable dates I’ve been on.
